Replaced Head on Acacia sticks
I have a half dozen old Acacia aluminum sticks left over from a team purchase from almost 15 years ago. I've been playing with Blue-ox, so i knew that the Blue ox heads wouldn't fit on these shafts. I gambled and bought one of these to see if it would fit. I had to drill the Two holes of course (2 for each side so actually 4) but works pretty well. I'm going to replace all 6 of the heads now. A cheap way to convert my old sticks that went unused for so long. I can let newbies play with a curved stick and i don't care about them getting banged up.
I've played with it a little. I definitely prefer my Blue-ox curve for stick handling, But I could see a shooter liking these. Heavier head.

Heavy and Slow
This review is for the "Control" head (not power or curved)
Pros:
I don't think I've ever hit the ball as hard as I have with this. Great force and velocity. Also, the "30-second" swap thing is true. It connects differently in that it has two large pass-through bolts that allow easy and quick swap with other 1x1 heads (assuming you have them) w/ a phillips.
Cons:
It is HEAVY. Swing is slow and stick-handling is compromised significantly, especially one-hand stick-handling. For warm-ups, it's great, but during the game it's a liability. Stick was slipping out of my hand b/c of weight during game. Also, you have to drill large bolts into your shaft to use this head. I'm a bit worried I compromised the integrity of the shaft w/ this head in going back to other heads.
Overall: Good for slow Def players that don't stick handle much but want a power shot from the blue & beyond. The lighter version may be better, but I'm going back to something else. Somewhat disappointed.
