During warmer summer days, Midwest Broomball recommends that D-Gel brand balls be deflated after use. It appears that a positive pressure and warmer temperatures softens the the ball allowing it to permantely grow in size.

D-Gel broomball balls may tear if used during cold temperatures. Midwest Broomball would suggest the Acacia King "miniature soccer ball style" as a better alternative which has an internal butyl bladder and condensed rubber shell.
